Ive been having some issues with the IDE loading very slowly (10+ seconds) which is extreamly unacceptable. Over the weekend while looking at the code, I noticed that I have been using the debug version of extjs rather than the release. I have since switched over to the release and the loading is MUCH faster (<3 seconds). I still want to add a small loading screen, which should help keep the users attention for a long enough period of time.
